Alleviate Zimbabwe is a re-entry association, based in Masvingo, Zimbabwe, that was established by Makaita Chikamhi Magarezano. As a lawyer and former prosecutor, Magarezano recognized the need for support and assistance for individuals reintegrating into society after being involved with the criminal justice system.
Our vision is to create a society where individuals who have previously been involved in the criminal justice system are provided with the necessary opportunities to rebuild their lives and make positive contributions to their communities, in order to end recidivism and establish safe communities.
Reducing recidivism rates and promoting successful re-entry for individuals who have been involved in the criminal justice system.
